The Civil War took place 150 years ago (1861-1865). To commentate this historical event the Clermont County Civil War Commemorative Committee (CCCWCC), lead by Harold Paddock, was established as a committee of the Clermont County Historical Society. The mission of the CCCWCC is to inform, invite and involve the citizens of Clermont County of the significant Civil War events and places that are found in the county. One of the projects of the committee was to develop a document on the Civil War Sites of Clermont County. This document provides a guide to and history of those sites. It is hoped that the reader will take advantage of the guide to embrace the historical heritage of the county.

A 32 page guide to the sites in Clermont County that are associated with the Civil War. Four sites concern General U.S. Grant; eight sites relate to Confederate General John Hunt Morgan's Raid and eight sites cover other locations. There is a listing of cemeteries within Clermont County where Civil War veterans are buried.
