Stonelick Bridge Rebuild 10/27/13 (6)393 viewsView of the Howe truss. The Howe truss with the addition of steel rods as post that had greater tensil strength than wood made it posible for the bridge to carry greater loads. The Howe truss was often used in railraod bridges.
