This bridge was burned by Conferdate General John Hunt Morgan in 1863

There has been three covered bridges over the East Fork River at Williamsburg. The first was built in 1845 and was washed out in 1858. The second was built in c1859. This bridge was burned by Conferdate General John Hunt Morgan in 1863. It was replaced by a third bridge that was replaced in 1935. It was a 164 ft. Long truss with an arch.
